Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Singapore is looking for a Project Manager specializing in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems. The candidate should have 5-8 years of relevant experience and a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Responsibilities include project planning, coordination, and quality assurance. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD is a plus. Excellent verbal and written English skills are essential, with additional preference for Chinese-speaking skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 – 8 years in M&E within construction/interiors.
  • Excellent English (verbal & written); ability to engage with Chinese-speaking stakeholders is a plus.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed M&E project plans—including timelines, budgets, and manpower/resources needed.

  • Coordination & Integration: Work closely with project teams (architects, engineers, contractors) to integrate M&E systems into broader deliverables.

  • Progress Monitoring: Track M&E work, flag delays, and update senior management/stakeholders regularly.

  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate technical issues, coordinate conflict resolution, and ensure seamless project progression.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all M&E installations meet specified standards and client requirements.

  • People Management: Supervise M&E staff, technicians, and subcontractors; mentor and guide team performance.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with users, clients, and vendors to align project outcomes with business needs.

  • Ad‑hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the management.

  • Preferably in building construction, interiors, or design

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Work Experience: Minimum 5 – 8 years in M&E within construction/interiors.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office; AutoCAD skills considered an advantage.

  • Communication: Excellent English (verbal & written); ability to engage with Chinese-speaking stakeholders is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized; strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills; able to perform under tight schedules/pressure independently or in a team
