Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking an M&E Project Manager to coordinate and lead the on-site M&E team. The successful candidate will ensure projects are executed efficiently, comply with standards, and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Able to work independently under minimum supervision.

Job description

Job Descriptions:

  • Coordinate and lead the on-site M&E team to execute and manage projects efficiently and administer all M&E contracts with appropriate contractual expertise.

  • Ensure all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works are executed on schedule, in compliance with relevant standards, codes of practice, and safety regulations.

  • Liaise, coordinate, and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors on M&E matters or challenges to ensure projects run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

  • Lead the selection and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Ensure the timely submission and approval of M&E shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements, in alignment with the M&E master schedule.

  • Ensure all projects and works are managed according to customer specifications, meet quality standards, and comply with government regulations.

  • Review and verify site M&E Variation Orders and regularly report progress and any issues to HQ.

  • Facilitate communication between customers and various departments.

  • Manage projects to ensure budgets remain within allocated costs and margins.

  • Resolve all correspondences related to the MEP discipline.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems when working under pressure.

  • Able to work independently under minimum supervision

  • 5.5-days’ work week
