Job description

The Mechanical / Electrical (M & E) Engineer shall be responsible for M & E services works from project start to completion. This job scope will include M&E services system design conceptualization, budgeting, tender preparations, tender interviews, tender clarifications, tender recommendations, authority submissions, site co-ordination and overall project management.

The scope of works shall encompass the following:

Job description:

  • Responsible for managing M & E services projects from concept stage (that includes design development, tender works, authority submissions, contract administration, site co-ordination) to project completion.

  • Work with Design Team on the development of the M&E services design, including equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, leading to the development of tender drawings.

  • Prepare tender scope of works that include tender specifications, breakdown of tender prices, tender interviews, tender Clarifications, tender award recommendations and authority submissions.

  • Prepare M&E services budget estimates

  • Participate in value engineering processes to control cost and clients' budget requirements of the project.

  • Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design specifications.

  • Coordinate and liaise with Architects/ Consultants / Main Contractors / Specialists/ Subcontractors / Clients and Authorities for design and with other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.

  • Ensure timely submission of progress claims.

  • Ensure final accounts of the project are completed in a timely manner.

  • Maintain proper filing of project documentation

  • Other related duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in the Building / Construction Industry

  • Proficient in MS Office applications

  • Autocad skill will be added advantage

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English (including technical writing and presentations) with the ability to communicate effectively with Clients and Project Team.

  • Good organizational, project management and problem-solving skills,

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and a dedicated team player.

  • A motivated and pro-active individual with pleasant disposition

  • Ability to multi-tasks and knows how to prioritize.
