Job description

Perform as a Mechanical/Electrical engineering subject matter expert specialising in mechanical engineering to join our expanding team in Data Centre and Clean Room design and build projects.

Job Descriptions

• Evaluate design requirements, technical specifications, proposed modification, constructability methods, and maintenance procedures to drive mechanical engineering support to construction and maintenance teams

• Develop design, specifications and complex technical drawings, advising on optimal methods based on complexity, cost and time involvement

• Develop / critique feasibility and constructability of design specifications and detailed design

• Specify design plans, schematics, layouts and material requisition based on project requirements

• Ensure design and specifications complied with relevant regulations and guidelines

• Support tender and provide technical support to the project team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M&E engineering design, with at least 2 years in data centre and/or clean room projects

• Proven expertise in developing mechanical design, specifications, and complex technical drawings for M&E projects

• Strong knowledge of ACMV/HVAC, chilled water systems, and other mechanical systems relevant to critical environments

• Experience evaluating constructability, feasibility, and maintenance considerations of engineering designs

• Familiar with local building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCA, ASHRAE, SS standards)

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to support tender preparation, including technical review and input

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and clients
