Job summary

Job description

Job Description:

  • Effective implementation and successful completion of projects undertaken by the Company within schedule, cost and quality
  • Advise on procurement strategy, tender evaluation and contractor selection
  • Discuss, draft, review, negotiate and subsequently shortlist and award sub-contracts
  • Monitor contracts and facilitate extension, renewal or close-out as required
  • Support the project team throughout the contract tem until successful contract completion, ensuring full compliance with the contract and respective legislation and regulations
  • Liaise with sub-contractors, clients, suppliers for project cost issues
  • Manage communications, integration and flow of design/project information
  • Manage contractual risks, dispute resolution and settlement
  • Develop tender strategies and oversee tender estimation responsibilities
  • Responsible for all QS reporting, oversee document control, lead and monitor the QS team for variation works, progress claims, cost control
  • Develop and improve department workflow and productivity
  • Periodically report work progress to senior management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering recognized by the PE Board
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in similar capacity in building construction industry
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical trades
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly and propose counter measures to settle the issues
  • Good knowledge of Local Code/Regulation pertaining to M&E services and building construction
  • Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability and to manage particulars tasks put in his charge
  • Good leadership and communication skills, excellents organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
