Job summary

Lumiere Consulting in Singapore seeks an Associate for its Asia-Pacific M&A/Private Equity practice. You will advise on complex cross-border transactions across the region, leading workstreams and coordinating multi-jurisdictional due diligence, working directly with partners and clients on deal strategy.

The role requires qualified lawyers with strong PE, M&A, and corporate experience, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines while developing junior lawyers.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with strong PE, M&A, and/or corporate transactional experience.
• Experience advising on complex cross-border transactions in Singapore and/or Asia-Pacific.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management across SPAs, investment agreements, shareholders' agreements, JV agreements, and disclosure materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams and manage multi-jurisdictional due-diligence processes.
• Advise on deal strategy and transactional documentation from structuring to execution.
• Supervise and develop junior lawyers and coordinate with partners and clients under deadlines.

A leading international law firm's Asia-Pacific M&A/Private Equity practice is seeking an Associate for its Singapore office, advising on complex cross-border transactions across the region.

About the Role

You'll advise private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, infrastructure investors, and corporates across the full transaction lifecycle - from structuring through execution. The role covers leading workstreams, managing multi-jurisdictional due diligence, and working directly with partners and clients on deal strategy.

Sectors

Private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, energy, natural resources, TMT, financial institutions, and general corporates across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Key Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with strong PE, M&A, and/or corporate transactional experience, ideally from a leading international law firm


• Experience advising on complex cross-border transactions in Singapore and/or Asia-Pacific


• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills across SPAs, investment agreements, shareholders' agreements, JV agreements, and disclosure materials
  
• Commercially astute, with strong client-facing confidence and ability to manage multiple workstreams under deadline pressure


• Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
