Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an Engineering Assistant, Traffic Management to support road assessments and the review of traffic plans related to civil design and traffic operations. The role requires basic GIS knowledge and a technical background.

You will work with a dynamic team, produce CAD drawings in MicroStation and prepare reports using Excel and Word, while demonstrating independence and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or NITEC / Higher NITEC in a technical discipline.
• Competence in producing MicroStation CAD drawings and using MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Independent, resourceful and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills; team player.

• Assist in road assessments to support the design of traffic schemes.
• Review traffic plans related to civil design and traffic operations.
• Support project teams with data collection and basic GIS tasks where applicable.

You may be required to conduct road assessments to support the design of traffic schemes and review traffic plans related to civil design and traffic operations. Knowledge of basic GIS is an added advantage. This role offers a dynamic career for technically trained and people-oriented individuals.

[What we are looking for]

• Diploma in Engineering or NITEC / Higher NITEC certificate in any technical discipline of studies /
• Competence in producing Microstation CAD drawing, Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Resourceful, independent, and self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• A team player with good interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills
• Preferably possess a Class 3 driving licence
