TRANSPORT PLANNER (BUS PLANNING)

[What you will be working on]
Join our dynamic team of transport planners who envision and shape the future of land transportation in Singapore. As transportation needs evolve with our growing population, we seek passionate individuals eager to serve the public. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop Singapore's future transportation system, including identifying, developing, and evaluating new road and rail infrastructure projects, as well as repurposing road spaces for active modes like walking and cycling. Additionally, you will be involved in planning and designing the public bus network and its supporting infrastructure.

You will be responsible for designing and supervising data collection activities, analyzing survey results, developing proposals for transport network improvements, forecasting travel demand, assessing community benefits, and evaluating economic performance. You will also collaborate with other government agencies to develop integrated transport-land use plans and provide transportation planning advice on future land use developments.

[What we are looking for]

  • Knowledge in disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Town/Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, Real Estate, or related fields
  • At least 3 years of experience in road, rail, and/or bus planning
  • Experience in land use planning, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), transport planning, and transport modeling techniques is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Candidates with relevant experience, a good understanding of transport and town planning principles, and strong analytical skills will be considered for senior roles
  • Candidates without experience but with the necessary skills may also be considered
