Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to architect, implement, optimize, and maintain our cloud infrastructure in Singapore. You will deploy new systems, research cloud technologies, and ensure security controls meet government guidelines.

You will work with cross-functional teams to design deployments in GCC and CC, implement IaC and DevOps pipelines, and continuously monitor resources for cost efficiency and security compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience implementing and managing secure cloud environments (AWS).
• Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP with emphasis on reliability and security compliance.
• Experience with Terraform and DevOps tooling.
• Knowledge of Windows and Unix server security and network management.

[What the role is]

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team to architect, implement, optimize, and maintain our organization’s systems. The Engineer’s responsibilities include deploying new systems, research and executing new cloud technologies.

The candidate will be working with different project teams to ensure our cloud computing systems meet the needs of our organization vision.

[What you will be working on]

• Demonstrate expertise in cloud architecture, cloud native patterns, container management, and cloud computing capabilities, with a strong emphasis on security best practices.

• Design, develop, and deploy systems in Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Commercial Cloud (CC), ensuring robust security controls and network boundary controls are integrated.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and integrate DevOps for all applications in GCC, including the necessary pipeline and integrations, with a focus on security automation and compliance.

• Monitor and review all cloud resources, taking necessary actions to resolve security-related issues and optimize resource spending in alignment with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) guidelines.

• Implement end-to-end DevOps for identified applications/use cases, with a strong emphasis on security automation and compliance.

• Troubleshoot complex security issues and document solutions in accordance with security best practices.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Computer/Information Science or equivalent disciplines.

• 8+ years of experience with implementing and managing secure cloud environments (AWS).

• Strong understanding of AWS and other cloud technologies (such as Azure and GCP) with a focus on Reliability, security controls and compliance.

• Experience with AWS DevOps tools and services, Terraform (or equivalent), PowerShell, etc.

• Knowledge of Windows and Unix servers and network management principles with a strong emphasis on security considerations.
