A leading company in Singapore seeks a Class 4 Truck Driver with substantial experience in transporting hazardous materials. Responsible for safe operation, cargo handling, and compliance with regulations, the role requires strong communication skills and knowledge of safety guidelines. Successful candidates will be reliable team players willing to work variable hours.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Class 4 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling delivery materials and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of these materials in compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Driver Responsibility
1. Operate trucks and perform daily safety, and maintenance checks properly.
2. Load and unload cargo.
3. Must have experience working the Changi airport and able to perform the job clearance
4. Must have experience transporting the hazardous materials since the company performs repair and re decoration of labs, schools and research centres
5. Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and guidelines, including DOT, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
6. Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including manifests, bills of lading, and other documentation.
7. Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately to the appropriate authorities and follow company protocols for handling such situations.
8. Report any safety hazards, accidents, or damages to the truck or equipment to the Supervisor immediately
9. In event of a chemical spill, use spill-kit to contain the area, and inform to Supervisor immediately
10. To physical check the quantity collected against the quantity stated in the Collection Order
11. Abide to Customers safety requirements when at Customers vicinity
12. Contact Supervisor in the event of damaging Customer’s property
13. Keep accurate records of CODO and return to Office daily
14. Carry out housekeeping works within the designated area, especially on truck cleanliness after use
15. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
16. Must be willing to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. No extra allowance is given.
17. Conduct regular safety training and briefings for other drivers and warehouse personnel on the safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
18. The drivers are not allowed to drive the lorry back home.
19. Working day – Monday to Saturday
20. Working Location – Tuas
