This global logistics company is renowned for its comprehensive supply chain solutions, offering services that range from express parcel delivery to freight transportation and warehousing. Located in the East of Singapore, my client is looking for a Logistics Transportation Director that involves overseeing local transportation operations and collaborating with Southeast Asia (SEA) partners to drive business growth.

Your new role

• Lead and manage the transport team, ensuring high performance and alignment with regional strategy.
  
• Oversee transport fleet operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.
  
• Grow the transport business, implementing projects within budget and driving operational improvements.
  
• Full P&L responsibility: managing customer relations, supplier contracts, and compliance with policies.
  
• Develop and coach a team of 5, fostering talent management and succession planning.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the 3PL industry or within an MNC environment, holding operational roles with P&L responsibilities.
  
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
• In-depth knowledge of the local logistics market, particularly in the transport sector.
  
• Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction, with strong commercial acumen and expertise in contractual negotiation.
  
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to lead and manage a large team.
