Job Summary
The Logistics Supervisor - Hospital Supply Chain is responsible for supervising onsite medical supplies replenishment activities. They monitor operational performance, ensure quality, and maintain safe and efficient handling of goods and equipment.
This role involves supervising the ordering, receiving, topping up, transaction documentation processes, and overseeing secure handling of goods. The supervisor identifies opportunities for improvement within off-site operations. The position may require working in rotating shifts. The candidate should be vigilant, decisive, possess effective communication skills, conduct induction training, and lead a team.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks (External)
Business Administration Operations- Communicate requirements and activities to stakeholders
- Promote a value-based culture and accountability within the organization
- Adhere to governance, compliance, and reporting processes
- Follow data governance and protection policies
- Supervise team members at work
- Utilize allocated resources effectively
- Apply operational policies, standards, and procedures
Business Process/Continuous Improvement- Plan and implement continuous improvement activities and performance strategies
- Analyze the impact of different approaches on problem-solving outcomes
- Assess business requirements
- Implement environmental protection policies and procedures
Safety and Health- Manage WSH activities to ensure compliance
- Perform safety and health risk assessments
- Identify non-conformance areas to WSH standards
- Conduct hazard assessments and facilitate discussions on safety improvements
Technology Application- Evaluate emerging technology trends relevant to logistics
- Coordinate technology support within the team
- Adapt and implement new technologies to improve operations
- Promote the use of electronic tools and devices
- Monitor technology usage levels
- Conduct training on new technological tools
Sales and Customer Service- Deliver logistics services aligned with customer needs
- Plan and monitor delivery processes
Transportation Operations- Coordinate transportation with logistics operations
- Resolve customer relationship issues
Operations, Cargo, and Material Handling- Address operational quality issues
- Manage operations planning and security
- Schedule cargo handling to meet timelines
- Handle operational shortfalls, maintenance, and repairs
- Manage handling of dangerous and sensitive goods
- Facilitate stocktaking activities
