Job description

As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing supply chain strategies to ensure efficient logistics operations. You will prepare policies, standard operating procedures, and long-term logistics processes while identifying risks associated with logistics and overall business. Your role will involve developing monthly logistic plans for all plants based on various inputs to optimize transport modes, routes, and frequency.You will analyze logistic costs, plant variable costs, and other factors to develop logistic budgets for all plants. Conducting feasibility studies for new plant locations and analyzing freight costs will be part of your responsibilities. Managing the sales return process, monitoring railway circulars affecting freight costs, and optimizing logistics routes will also be key tasks.In addition, you will work with SAP IBP module for logistics allocation, conduct gap analysis, track deviations, and prepare yearly logistics budgets. Monitoring budget deviations, analyzing logistics costs, and driving cost optimization initiatives will be crucial in your role. Ensuring compliance with SOPs, managing vendor performance, and leading digitization efforts for logistics function will also fall under your purview.You will be responsible for identifying automation opportunities, managing SAP-related issues, conducting UAT testing, and providing regular SAP training to logistic and marketing teams. Generating freight-related cost data, creating MIS reports, analyzing data for insights, and driving continuous improvements in supply chain KPIs will be essential to enhance logistic efficiency.Your role will involve close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, recommending corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics function. Your qualifications include a postgraduate degree with a specialization in Operation Research, Graduate from Indian Statistical Institute, or Graduate from NITIE specialized in Analytics.Overall, as a Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing logistics operations, driving cost efficiencies, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain function.,
