Job Summary:
The Logistics Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the logistics industry. This role combines logistics expertise with sales acumen to identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and deliver tailored logistics solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth in logistics services (e.g., warehousing)
· Identify and secure new business opportunities in target markets.
· Manage and grow relationships with key clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
· Collaborate with operations and logistics to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently and cost- effectively.
· Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business strategies.
· Track sales performance metrics and generate regular reports for management.
· Coach and mentor junior sales staff, if applicable.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates with strong relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
· Minimum 15 years of proven sales experience in the logistics or supply chain industry
· Strong understanding of logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and freight management.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Results-driven with the ability to work independently and in a team.
· Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Existing client portfolio in logistics or related industries.
· Experience in international logistics or multimodal transportation.
· Familiarity with customs regulations and freight documentation.
