Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating shipping, receiving deliveries, conducting stock checks, documenting records, and storing of inventory

  • Ensure outgoing and incoming shipments are completed on time, within budget and to the exact location

  • Preparing shipping documents (eg. Airway bills, bills of landing, purchase orders delivery orders, certificate of beneficiary, etc)

  • Preparing export LC documents for negotiation and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the LC

  • Liaise with shipping companies, transport contractors and inter-department to ensure timely clearance and smooth flow of shipments

  • Tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries

  • Responsible for procurement process and sourcing in a timely manner

  • Effectively acquire the most relevant and cost-effective deals

  • Managing and dispatching spare parts requests

  • Sourcing and managing suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders, and maintainingm good business relationships

Requirements:

  • Higher Nitec or Diploma in Logistics, Procurement or equivalent

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Meticulous and able to work independently

  • Good communication skills

  • Strong negotiation skills
