Job description

  • Assist in logistics planning activities, including layout design, space utilization, racking setup, and workflow mapping, under the supervision of the Department Manager.
  • Analyze logistics operations and propose recommendations to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Promote and implement Lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to boost operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), visual management boards, and performance dashboards.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on Warehouse Management System (WMS) integration during new implementations or system upgrades.
  • Support the launch of new business operations by facilitating facility setup, manpower allocation, and equipment sourcing.
  • Utilize tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL to monitor and report on operational performance.
  • Develop warehouse simulation models using MS Visio or AutoCAD for planning and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards within logistics operations.
  • Contribute to long-term warehouse development plans that align with business expansion goals.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors throughout the planning and implementation phases.
  • Perform on-site feasibility assessments and conduct post-implementation performance evaluations.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) using data-driven dashboards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through team engagement and regular SOP evaluations.
  • Assess and recommend automation solutions and digital warehouse technologies to enhance productivity.
