Job description:

Job Purpose

To be responsible and handles the day-to-day logistics and inventory management, ensuring that spare parts, tools, and materials are properly received, stored, and issued in a timely and accurate manner. This role is essential for maintaining efficient maintenance operations for Sentosa Express.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and recording incoming materials, spare parts, and tools
  • Issue required parts and tools to maintenance teams according to job requirements
  • Perform regular stock checks and update inventory records accurately
  • Organize and maintain the storeroom or parts storage area in a neat and orderly manner
  • Coordinate with internal teams for delivery or collection of materials as needed
  • Support proper documentation for materials movement (receiving notes, issue slips, etc.)
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with safety and operational guidelines
  • Report any discrepancies or low stock levels to the Engineer or O&M Senior Manager
  • Assist in packing, labeling, and transporting items within the workshop or to other locations
  • Compile the logistics for operation and arrange to replace the short falls
  • Assist in planning and providing logistics for special events
  • Working location in Sentosa
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • NITEC/Higher NITEC in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in transport, rail, or workshop setting
  • Basic knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse operations
  • Physically fit and able to handle tools, equipment, and moderate lifting
  • Comfortable working in a workshop or depot environment
  • Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team
Skills
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling and reporting
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, inventory systems)
