Job description

Job Description:

The Logistics Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain within the Airbus Helicopters (AH) Distribution Centre.

This includes coordinating all logistical activities, ensuring seamless operations. He/she will serve as the key point of contact with AH stakeholders, transport carriers, and internal departments. He/she will also be tasked with optimizing logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

The role requires ensuring all operations are in full compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with related AH departments to follow up goods receipt issues, shipment discrepancy and dispatch issues
  • Responsible to record and archive the full set of import and export shipping documents
  • Support the import and export license application for export control commodities
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers for shipment arrangement according to the committed schedule with customers
  • Liaise with freight forwarder, courier services for import / export shipments.
  • Take immediate actions for shipment delay and parcel damage issues to reduce impact of delivery
  • Review logistics operating flow, procedures and recommend effective improvement initiatives for performance enhancement
  • Communicate with Service Provider information about the activity in order to ensure Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People (SQCDP) and continuous improvement
  • Work in close cooperation with warehouse team
  • Assist on ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder in Supply Chain and Logistics or equivalent
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in logistics is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and experiences of shipment booking and pre-alert handling
  • Proficient in MS Office applications or Google Suite, knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Analytical, meticulous-mind, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
