Job description

Core Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with business objectives and customer requirements
• Forecast demand and capacity requirements to ensure adequate resources and avoid bottlenecks
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to optimize the entire supply chain network
• Design and optimize distribution networks for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Manage strategic partnerships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders

Transportation & Distribution Management

• Oversee transportation operations including route planning, carrier selection
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise
• Optimize transportation costs through mode selection, load consolidation, and route optimization

Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Coordinate warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
• Manage inventory levels using techniques like just-in-time (JIT) and economic order quantity (EOQ)
• Oversee cycle counting and inventory audits to maintain accuracy and prevent stockouts
• Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve productivity and reduce handling costs
