Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for district warehouses and stores.
- Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the organization.
- Direct and review work plans for assigned staff.
- Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions.
- Monitor storeroom and warehouse material usage.
- Assist in warehouse space utilization by designing facility layouts to maximize storage efficiency.
- Develop delivery schedules and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and files of inventory usage.
- Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems.
- Select, train, motivate, and evaluate personnel.
- Implement discipline and termination procedures.
- Prepare and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence.
- Assist with budget preparation and administration.
- Coordinate warehousing and storeroom activities with outside agencies and organizations.
- Discover new trends and innovations in warehousing and storage programs.
Experience
- Background in warehouse and freight handling processes.
- Ensure and maintain inventory accuracy through planning CC tasks.
- Drive process improvements via system enhancements and automation projects.
- Plan operating expenditure and Capex.
- Lead operational teams to meet targets and KPIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or industrial engineering.
- Ability to consider the costs and benefits of potential actions to decide on the best course.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective negotiation with carriers, suppliers, customs brokers, and customers.
- Identify performance indicators relevant to system goals.
- Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, and develop and implement solutions.
- Strong logical and reasoning skills for effective decision-making.
