Our Client:
Our client is a well-known Automobile company, headquartered in Japan. They are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Executive (Ocean Freight) tojoin their teamin Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
Handle a large number of shipping documents, making sure everything is accurate and ready for audits
Make sure all shipping documents (especially those from our bonded partner in Thailand) are correct, filed properly, and matched with internal systems for sales and purchase records
Review and check invoices (non-trading and payment-related) before sending them to the accounting team
Ensure that original signed Navision invoices are sent to the right people when needed
Double-check monthly insurance reports before submitting them to accounting
Verify freight invoices (billed in Singapore) to ensure they are accurate and paid on time
Confirm that GST (tax) classifications are correct before reporting them to accounting
Follow up on overdue payments with relevant teams and help update payment schedules
Keep track of office equipment and other assets, and assist with annual reports
Solve recurring payment issues by coordinating with the team and implementing solutions
Support new projects or process improvements as assigned by your manager
The Requirements:
Min. Diploma or ‘A’ level from a recognised tertiary institution
Min. 3 years of sea import working experience
Basic knowledge of trade compliance, managing payment invoicing, or experience.
Receptive to working with a diverse team of differing cultures and nationalities (internal and external)
Intermediates excel, PowerPoint presentation & reporting
Ability to travel (mainly ASEAN countries) - Once a year
Be flexible and open to taking on new tasks when needed.
