Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to manage shipping documentation and coordinate shipments. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in shipping and a diploma, preferably in Logistics or Shipping Operations. Strong communication skills and knowledge of shipping processes are essential. This role also involves resolving customer complaints and managing shipping issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in shipping.
  • Diploma in any field, preferably in Logistics or Shipping Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping documentation and coordinate with carriers.
  • Prepare LC shipping documents in compliance with requirements.
  • Work with accounts to monitor payments for cargo release.
  • Coordinate shipment of finished products with Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Provide updates and resolve shipping issues.
  • Handle shipping-related customer complaints.
  • Arrange transportation for local delivery orders.
  • Handle insurance claims for cargo loss or damage.
  • Review and improve shipping processes.

Knowledge of TradeNet system

Job description

Remark: Able to start work immediately

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage shipping documentation (e.g. import and export permits, Form D for transportation of Malaysia) and co-ordinate with carrier/freight forwarders for deliveries and shipments of raw materials from suppliers and finished goods to customers according to shipping schedule

  • Prepare LC shipping documents in compliance with LC requirements and handle LC shipments

  • Work with the Account department to monitor payments and invoices to determine release of cargo to customers

  • Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to co-ordinate shipment of finished products

  • Provide updates, resolve all shipping issues and communicate changes in shipping schedules to relevant stakeholders (Operations, Business Development, freight forwarders/agents, customers) when necessary

  • Work with the Business Development department to handle shipping-related customer complaints and make necessary arrangements to resolve issues when necessary

  • Arrange transportation for local delivery orders

  • Handle insurance claims in the event of loss or damage of cargo

  • Engage relevant stakeholders to review and improve shipping processes

Job Specifications:

Minimum education qualifications:

  • Diploma in any field, preferably in Logistics or Shipping Operations

  • Knowledge of TradeNet system

  • Good knowledge of shipping and logistics processes
