Job description

Manage shipment and local transportation arrangements, and provide necessary documents to ensure smooth and timely shipping operations.

Job Objective

Manage shipment and local transportation arrangements, and provide necessary documents to ensure smooth and timely shipping operations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage shipping documentation (e.g., import and export permits, Form D for transportation of Malaysia) and coordinate with carrier/freight forwarders for deliveries and shipments of raw materials from suppliers and finished goods to customers according to shipping schedule.
  • Prepare LC shipping documents in compliance with LC requirements and handle LC shipments.
  • Work with the Accounts department to monitor payments and invoices to determine release of cargo to customers.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor for shipment of finished products.
  • Provide updates, resolve shipping issues, and communicate schedule changes to relevant stakeholders (Operations, Business Development, freight forwarders/agents, customers) as needed.
  • Handle shipping-related customer complaints with the Business Development department and make necessary arrangements to resolve issues.
  • Arrange transportation for local delivery orders.
  • Handle insurance claims in case of cargo loss or damage.
  • Review and improve shipping processes by engaging relevant stakeholders.
Job Specifications

Minimum education qualifications:

  • Diploma in any field, preferably in Logistics or Shipping Operations.
Minimum Years of Experience
  • Relevant shipping experience is advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
