Job Description:
As a Logistics Executive overseeing global operations and warehousing, you will be responsible for managing international shipments, coordinating with freight partners, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Your role is critical in maintaining a seamless supply chain from supplier to customer, ensuring timely deliveries, accurate inventory, and compliance with global trade regulations.
Roles
- Coordinate end-to-end international logistics, including freight booking, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.
- Liaise with global customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Source and evaluate international freight forwarders, negotiate shipping rates, and manage service-level agreements.
- Arrange cargo insurance coverage and ensure risk mitigation for international shipments.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation (e.g., Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill) in compliance with international trade requirements.
- Handle Certificate of Origin applications and liaise with relevant trade authorities or chambers of commerce.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or disruptions in the supply chain.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams and 3PL providers to optimize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Support warehouse system updates and ensure data accuracy in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP).
- Collaborate with Procurement and Sales teams to align inventory levels with demand forecasts and order requirements.
Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in procurement including sourcing, negotiation skills and contract management.
- Applicants should have an understanding of logistics operations and practices. Should also possess work experience in logistic or supply chain management tasks.
- Applicants must be able to communicate with various stakeholders; including customers, colleagues, vendors, etc. It is also vital for composing and delivering responses to customers, attending to complex questions in a clear and concise manner, and reporting the status of assigned tasks.
- Applicants must be able to plan, prioritize, and manage their own activities and office workflow even when working under tight deadlines.
