Job description
Logistics Executive

CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members. CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for providing logistical support to ensure service integrity throughout the logistics chain, while identifying and proposing cost-effective solutions. In addition, you will manage KPIs and serve as a system administrator to maintain accurate and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Newbuild Logistics (60%):
    • Coordinate shipments of Newbuilding vessel orders from suppliers to warehouse, shipyard, or vessel.
    • Expedite PO deliveries and collaborate with freight forwarders, purchasers, and shipyard teams.
    • Review logistics quotations with project managers; negotiate cost-effective and timely solutions.
    • Track PO statuses and maintain stock list accuracy with forwarders.
    • Update logistics databases (e.g., OFE list, tracking files) and upload documents to SharePoint.
    • Verify freight invoices and support logistics KPI reporting.
    • Participate in meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Operational Vessels Logistics (40%):
    • Coordinate ship spares delivery with superintendents and purchasers.
    • Plan cost-efficient logistics to meet vessel schedules.
    • Work with 3PLs to execute shipping instructions and resolve service issues.
    • Monitor PO updates and stock accuracy, request freight quotes, and verify invoices.
    • Update delivery records in the procurement system.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Marine / Offshore Logistics
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Basic knowledge of main conveyance modes, warehousing, custom clearance and incoterms
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data analysis) and PowerPoint (e.g., professional presentations)
