Logistics Executive

Responsibilities and Roles:

Logistics:

1. Liaising with suppliers on cargo readiness to ensure shipment is on time.
2. Monthly consolidation of customers’ forecast quantity for supplier processing and confirmation.
3. Sourcing of forwarders for comparison rates and alternative vessel schedules.
4. Scheduling vessels for certain customers and liaising with insurance companies for marine insurance issuance.
5. Checking on draft shipment documents before suppliers proceed for confirmation.
6. Being the point of contact between customers and suppliers for shipping-related issues.
7. Ensuring prompt updates to customers for any changes in cargo quantity or loading issues for clarification and confirmation.
8. Keeping track of customers’ shipment ETD and quantity in Excel on a monthly basis.
9. Monthly submission of sales report against forecast for comparison reference to manager.
10. Packing of samples requested according to requirements for customers or overseas team.
11. Arranging courier for document/sample pickup and updating the receiver accordingly.
12. Monitoring office inventory sample stock levels and requesting more samples from suppliers when depleting.
13. Ensuring all sample stocks are in good condition and valid expiry date.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma in Logistics, ‘O’ Level or equivalent with at least 2 - 3 years of experience in the shipping industry/forwarding and supply chain business/FMCG distribution industry.
2. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
3. Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
5. Strong in Logistics Operations.
6. Able to work as a team and also independently.
7. Export/Import regulations and customs knowledge is a plus.
8. Willingness to work in Science Park 2.
