The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics operations of the organization, ensuring efficient movement of goods, timely deliveries, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a smooth supply chain and delivering a high level of service to customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including inbound and outbound shipments.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to schedule and track deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents (invoices, bills of lading, customs documents, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and transport laws.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and transportation activities.
- Resolve shipment issues, delays, and discrepancies quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and distribution of products.
- Use logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS) to optimize procedures.
- Monitor performance metrics and report on key logistics data.
- Support process improvement initiatives in logistics and supply chain functions.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with logistics software is a plus.
