Job summary

A premier convention and exhibition venue in Singapore is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage and coordinate materials and vendors during trade shows. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience in the conventions and exhibitions industry and possess a valid forklift and high reach equipment license. Key responsibilities include coordinating equipment movements, managing rentals, and ensuring operational efficiency during events.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift driver and high reach equipment license is a must.
• At least three (3) years' of working experience in the Conventions and Exhibitions industry.
• Willingness to work various shifts and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade-show materials movements and interact with contractors.
• Manage equipment rental and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
• Oversee loading/unloading docks and assist with traffic marshaling.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade-show materials movements.
• Coordinate with trade show organizers and contractors during exhibitions.
• Manage rental of equipment’s to contractors.
• To ensure all equipment maintenance schedule is diligently follow up.
• To ensure MOM recertification for equipment to be renew without any delay/issues.
• Handle/operate high reach equipment & forklifts.
• Assist with traffic marshalling as and when required.
• Assist with the opening and closing of air walls in the expo halls according to clients’ requirement.
• Ensure all defects in the building are reported accordingly and to monitor of the rectification/repair of the defects.
• Stuffing/unstuffing of containers and manage loading/unloading docks.
• To provide briefing to contractors accessing property for event set up and tear down.
• Check for any illegal storage in MICE.
• Liaising with Facilities team for removal/installation of lifts padding and switching on/off of hall lightings for events.
• Assist Waste Management Operations team in supervision of the cleanliness at MICE and dilapidation of events.
• Assist Mail & Package Operations team with deliveries.
• Assist Waste Management Operations team with dilapidation of events.
• Assist Mail & Package Operations team with deliveries after operating hours.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification
• No formal education required
• Valid forklift driver and high reach equipment license is a must.

Experience
• At least three (3) years' of working experiences as Logistics Specialist in Conventions and Exhibitions industry.

Other Prerequisites
• Willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and overnight, as well as on public holidays
• Able to multi-tasks and work under pressure.
