Job summary

A global commodities company in Singapore is seeking a Logistics/Operations Executive to manage end-to-end trade operations. The successful candidate will handle customer orders, coordinate shipments, and work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth contract execution. Ideal applicants will have a degree in Maritime Studies and at least 3 years of experience in base metal operations, with strong knowledge of Incoterms and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Description
This global commodities company, with strong assets and a focus on physical trading. Due to business needs, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics/Operations Executive to join their base metals division.

Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role focuses on end-to-end trade operations, including managing customer orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth execution of contracts from order to cash. It involves close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, and handling logistics, pricing, and supply chain workflows. The role also supports business improvement initiatives and requires a strong understanding of Incoterms, payment terms, and customer service.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Maritime Studies or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in base metal operations, managing the full trade cycle. A strong understanding of Incoterms and payment terms is essential. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems is required. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment is key to success in this role.
