This position will serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics related matters for the Corporate Procurement Team within the Asia Pacific Region and will be responsible for the regional execution of the strategic direction established by the Director of Global Logistics. Key areas of focus for this role will be conducting RFQ’s across all modes of transport, ensuring appropriate carrier utilization, and monitoring carrier performance to ensure expected service levels are maintained. Additionally, this role will be the primary escalation point for any logistics matters encountered by the regional operations teams.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct RFQ’s across all modes of transport within the region
- Ensure negotiated rates are updated in the OTM system by the support team and test to verify accuracy
- Assist with regional OTM integrations
- Communication of key logistics initiatives throughout the region
- Perform new carrier onboarding and vetting
- Monthly reporting on regional logistics activity by location
- Ensure business adherence to preferred carriers for designated mode / lane combinations
- Development and implementation of carrier performance metrics
- Conduct quarterly business reviews for each of our primary logistics service providers in the region
- Serve as the Corporate escalation point for any logistics issues encountered by the regional operations teams
- Other activities as required by the Director of Global Logistics

Qualifications
Essential:
- Demonstrable understanding of logistics industry nomenclature, standards, and practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbally and written)
Desirable:
- Degree in Business or similar.
Experience
Essential:
- 10+ years of logistics experience - air, land and sea freights experience.
- Experience performing rate negotiations in the transportation market
- Experience interacting with international locations within a business setting
Desirable:
- Experience working with large data in Excel
Skills, training or special knowledge
Essential:
- Utilization of Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Practical experience using OTM (Oracle Transportation Management)
