Role Overview:
To support our continued growth, we are looking for a proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team in Singapore. This key role will be responsible for reviewing, optimizing, and managing the movement of import and export cargo. You will serve as the logistical link between project operations and our preferred clearing and forwarding agents, ensuring timely and efficient shipping while maintaining compliance with HSE requirements. This position also involves overseeing goods in/out processes and equipment inventory control to support smooth project execution.
Duties/Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination
• Plan and coordinate freight deliveries and pick-ups
• Track shipments and update the status of goods to relevant parties
• Ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
• Equipment inventory
• Equipment goods in and out check
Documentation
• Assist with synchronization of Documentation and Data Retention in line with global Geo Services standards
• Prepare and manage documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, transport manifests and customs entries
• Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complies with regulations
• Ensure all documentation is retained and stored in anticipation of Audit Checks on a monthly basis
• Incumbent will be required to answer Internal, State or Federal Tax audit queries based on documentation produced/managed
Communication
• Communicate with internal and external clients, shipping agents, and freight carriers
• Resolve any freight delivery issues such as delays or mishandlings
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of goods
Compliance
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and handle any customs-related issues
• Manage hazardous cargo requirements
• Ensure compliance to Acteon Trade Compliance standards and operate within the defined scope
Customer Service
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal and external client inquiries and concerns
• Develop strategies to improve service levels and operational efficiency in coordination with Business Line objectives
Requirements
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of international logistics working for a tier 1 Freight Forwarder
• Ability to work independently and to independently prioritize one's own activities
• Fluent written and spoken English, Portuguese fluency a plus
• Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft systems
• Understanding of Import and Export laws, regulations, and tax implications
• Hazardous cargo training a plus
• Singaporeans and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply
