Responsibilities

• Preparing medication by reviewing and interpreting physicians’ orders, detecting incompatibilities.
• Dispenses medication by compounding, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals.
• Handle direct customers and patients and provide professional counselling and advice on health issues, symptoms, and medications.
• Ensure confidentiality of information concerning customers and staff.
• Ensure all prescriptions are fully and accurately endorsed.
• Ensure all procedures conform to legal requirements.
• Comply with the code of ethics as laid down by the SPC.
• Complete the requisite amount of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as laid down by the SPC.
