Job summary

Shinhan Bank Singapore is seeking a Loan Operations professional to manage end-to-end processing of bilateral and syndicated loans. You will review agreements, monitor schedules, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with multiple internal teams and external counterparties.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field and at least 1 year of loan operations experience, with proficiency in Korean for client and Head Office communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of bilateral/syndicated loan operations experience.
• Knowledge of corporate loan products and end-to-end loan lifecycle.
• Experience reviewing loan documentation and processing transactions.
• Familiarity with SWIFT payment processing and core banking loan systems is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Korean language proficiency (spoken and written) is required to communicate with Korean-speaking clients and Head Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing and administration of bilateral and syndicated loan transactions.
• Review loan agreements and facility documents for compliance prior to disbursement.
• Monitor maturity dates, repayment schedules, covenant compliance and docs.
• Process amendments, renewals, restructuring, and other post-disbursement activities.
• Maintain loan records accurately in the core banking system.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers, Credit Admin, Finance, Legal, Operations and counterparties.
• Prepare reports and respond to enquiries; support audits and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and MAS regulatory requirements.
