Job summary

Antares Management Services is seeking a capable cargo and ground-handling operative to join our aviation operations team at the airbase. You will load and unload cargo, handle documentation, and assist with passenger boarding while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires NITEC, driving and forklift licenses, about 5 years of relevant experience, and willingness to deploy overseas when required. Strong teamwork, weather resilience and OT availability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have NITEC qualification and about 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Possess Class 3 Driving License and Forklift License.
• Experience in RSAF, airbase, aviation, cargo or ground-handling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo from aircraft using forklifts and material-handling equipment.
• Handle, consolidate and store cargo per operational requirements.
• Prepare cargo documentation, incl. airway bills.
• Handle dangerous goods per IATA regulations.
• Operate passenger ladders and assist with boarding/alighting.

About the role

Join an established aviation operations team supporting passenger, cargo and ground-handling activities.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo from aircraft using material-handling equipment (forklift)
• Handle, consolidate and store cargo according to operational requirements
• Prepare cargo documentation, including airway bills
• Handle dangerous goods in accordance with IATA regulations
• Operate passenger ladders and assist with passenger boarding and alighting
• Prepare passenger and flight documentation for arrivals and departures
• Guide authorised personnel entering and leaving the airbase
• Support foreign military aircraft and overseas deployment activities when required
• Conduct daily inspections and functional checks on equipment and vehicles
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, stocktaking and housekeeping

About you

• NITEC qualification
• Approximately 5 years of relevant work experience
• Class 3 Driving License and/or Forklift License
• Prior RSAF, airbase, aviation, cargo or ground-handling experience is advantageous
• Comfortable performing physical duties and working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Able to perform OT to support flight operations
• Comfortable using mobile applications
• Meticulous, safety-conscious and able to work well in a team
• Must be prepared for overseas deployment when required
