Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Intertek Testing Services Pte Ltd is a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving diverse industries worldwide.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our LNG Lab team. As a LNG Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of the LNG cargo, which is pivotal in Singapore's energy security. You will be trained to use various analytical instruments and Distributed Control System (DCS) software to perform laboratory tests accurately and report test results to the relevant parties.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform laboratory tests accurately using established procedures and/or enter the test result accurately into database.
  • Report and communicate test results to relevant parties promptly.
  • Operate online instruments using process plant software and Distributed Control System (DCS)
  • Ensure that work area is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
  • Participate in ISO related activities - maintain completion of ISO documentation and ensure that the documents are audit-ready.
  • Any other duties assigned by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma or NITEC in Chemistry or Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
  • Entry-level candidates may apply.
  • Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in Analytical Laboratory will have an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with ICP, GC, auto-titrator, physical properties analyzer will be advantageous.
  • Meticulous, systematic approach to work, with a basic understanding of laboratory practices, procedures and terminology.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Computer literate with effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours due to LNG shipment operations.
  • Willing and able to work night shift and withstand varying weather conditions while operating field site sampling equipment and cycling.
