Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd. is currently seeking an LNG Marketing Manager to support our spot and long-term marketing efforts, aiming to increase our presence in the China LNG market.
Background
JSC Novatek is the largest privately owned gas company in Russia and the majority shareholder in the Yamal LNG project.
Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd. serves as the LNG trading company for JSC Novatek.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft and lead negotiations for LNG supply term sheets.
- Negotiate LNG SPAs with counterparties independently and collaboratively with other NGPA marketing managers.
- Participate in shaping long-term LNG sales strategies and Novatek’s energy sales strategies.
- Build relationships with potential stakeholders, including domestic LNG/gas buyers, power generation companies, industrial customers, local partners, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with the LNG trading department to identify value through a consistent deal stream; promote spot trading and short-term opportunities; enhance pricing strategies; offer risk management solutions including hedging services and arbitrage protocols.
- Ensure all business activities comply with internal policies, standards, and legal frameworks.
- Develop and implement LNG portfolio optimization plans.
- Conduct LNG pricing analysis and develop offers.
- Enhance marketing and optimization capabilities through market research.
- Maintain and expand the company's sale network within the LNG trading industry.
- Negotiate spot and short-term deals; propose and draft key terms and conditions.
- Manage, negotiate, review, and finalize commercial contracts such as Confidentiality Agreements, MSPAs, and Confirmation Notices.
Requirements:
- Strong background in China LNG marketing (spot and long-term).
- Good connections with relevant counterparts in the China LNG market.
- Proven track record of building customer relationships and selling cargoes with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of LNG commercial frameworks and documents.
- Fluent in English for daily communication.
- Fluent in Chinese for daily communication with Asian customers.
- Work experience in LNG marketing, including spot LNG deals.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to take initiative and expand responsibilities.
- Flexibility and ability to work within diverse professional and cultural teams.
