The Singapore office of a leading offshore law firm is recruiting an Associate into its litigation and dispute resolution team. The office serves the firm's Asian client base and works on offshore disputes with an Asian nexus, coordinating with the firm's Cayman, BVI and Channel Islands practices.
The work includes shareholder and joint venture disputes involving offshore holding companies, insolvency and restructuring litigation, asset tracing and enforcement, contentious trust and fiduciary proceedings, and support to international arbitration where offshore entities or assets are involved. Clients include Asian corporates, funds, family offices and the regional offices of international law firms. Associates work closely with the offshore litigation teams and with local Singapore counsel, and often act as the primary point of contact for regional clients.
This opportunity will suit a disputes lawyer already in Asia, or one looking to move to the region, who wants offshore work without relocating to the Caribbean. Mandarin language skills are required for this role, while the firm is ideally looking for an England and Wales qualified lawyer.
