A leading outsourcing solutions provider in Singapore is looking for a skilled Linux Administrator to manage and optimize Linux and Unix servers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting applications, developing and supporting various middleware applications, and collaborating on project delivery. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of relevant experience. This role emphasizes automation and system security improvements.
About the Project
Executing the deployment and configuration in multiple platforms using cloud technologies
Responsibilities
• Administrate and manage Linux and Unix servers
• Troubleshoot and maintain Unix/Linux-based applications in the servers.
• Develop, deploy, and support applications on RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle/MySQL databases.
• Lead and guide technical teams in deploying, configuring, and optimizing RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka solutions.
• Drive automation and process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Assist in system monitoring, logging, and automation.
• Provide support for infrastructure and middleware-related incidents.
• Collaborate with teams for project delivery and documentation.
• Ensure system security, patching, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Automate tasks using shell scripting or configuration management tools.
• Maintain robust backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployments and upgrades.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
• Contribute to IT strategy, architecture, and infrastructure planning.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex system deployments
Skills/Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Experience in technical delivery, infrastructure management, and middleware platforms.
• Working knowledge on JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Unix shell scripting and SQL (Oracle/MySQL).
• Preferred Red Hat Certified or with VMware configurations and administration experience.
