Job summary

Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and SIA Engineering Company, delivering engine overhaul and component repair services. The role focuses on on-site technical support to Operations, collaborating with the Rolls-Royce Engineering Team to resolve variances and issues.

Candidates should have aerospace/mechanical engineering background and be prepared for rotating shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or Diploma with relevant experience).
• Good knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) processes and technical publications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate in a team.
• Willingness to work on-site on rotating shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to Operations to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Liaise with Rolls-Royce Engineering Team for dispositions on inspection findings.
• Develop and issue ad hoc work instructions to support operational requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, quality and productivity.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to Operations to resolve day-to-day technical issues during shifts, minimizing disruptions to workflow and ensuring delivery targets are met.
• Liaise with the Rolls-Royce Engineering Team to obtain timely dispositions and approvals for Technical Variances (TVs) related to inspection findings beyond allowable limits and deviations from technical publications.
• Develop and issue ad hoc work instructions to support operational requirements and address technical issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Qualification / Experience

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with a relevant Diploma and relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Good knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) processes and technical publications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work on-site on a rotating shift schedule, including weekend.
