Job summary

NIPEK PTE. LTD. is seeking a Lighting Designer/Assistant Lighting Designer to join our team in Central Singapore (Bugis).

The role covers concept development through construction for hospitality, cultural, and infrastructure projects. You will report to the Senior Lighting Designer, Associates, and Directors. Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• Experience in lighting design is preferred but not essential; passion and willingness to learn are valued.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop; familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or lighting calculation software is a plus.
• Strong design sensibility and good communication skills.
• Team player able to work in a fast-paced studio environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Workdays: Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm

We are looking for Lighting Designer / Assistant Lighting Designer to join our team. This role covers all aspects of lighting design, from concept development through to construction, across a portfolio of hospitality, cultural, and infrastructure projects. The Lighting Designer will report to the Senior Lighting Designer, Associates, and Directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing lighting design concepts that align with the architectural vision and client brief.
• Prepare lighting layouts, fixture schedules, and design documentation across project stages.
• Research and specify lighting fixtures and controls suited to project needs and budget.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, and clients to coordinate design and technical requirements.

• Assist with on-site lighting focusing, testing, and commissioning as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
