Job summary

A leading design firm in Singapore is on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Designer for the position of Design Engineer I. The successful candidate will join the Research & Development team and be responsible for innovative lighting fixture design projects. The ideal applicant must have a strong background in SolidWorks, with additional knowledge in manufacturing methods. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in design development, preferably in solid-state lighting.
• Expert user of SolidWorks with PDM file management experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods for part design.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of complete project deliverables, including design documentation.
• Support product manufacturing with training and work instructions.
• Interact with manufacturing facilities to resolve assembly issues.
