Job summary

PatSnap is seeking a Life Science Scientist to translate deep life sciences knowledge into AI-native product opportunities. You will work at the intersection of scientific problem-solving and product building, shaping workflows across clinical development, translational medicine, BD, and regulatory affairs.

The role focuses on turning complex, real-world life sciences challenges into usable tools, leveraging MCPs, Skills, and Agents to support researchers and decision-makers in daily workflows.

Qualifications

• PhD in life sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of pharma, biotech, clinical development, translational medicine, BD or competitive intelligence.
• Ability to translate complex scientific problems into focused, practical product opportunities.
• Experience delivering end-to-end work such as a research paper, scientific tool, internal product, data pipeline or workflow solution.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly across technical, product and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value life sciences workflows across clinical development, translational medicine, BD, competitive intelligence and regulatory affairs where AI can improve work.
• Get close to users by spending time with researchers, scientists, BD teams and clinical operations professionals to understand daily work.
• Translate user needs into protoypes and working solutions and learn from usage.
• Prototype and launch quickly, delivering capabilities in weeks rather than waiting for perfection.
• Learn from real-world usage and feedback to continuously improve.
• Partner with marketing and GTM to communicate the value of products.
