A leading optical service provider in Singapore seeks a licensed Optometrist/Optician committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through thorough eye examinations and personalized service. The role requires strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and a dedication to professional ethical standards.
As a licensed Optometrist/Optician, you will work as part of a team to deliver total satisfaction to our customers through conducting thorough eye examinations and aftercare. You will offer recommendations to the highest professional and ethical standards and use your knowledge effectively to identify customers’ needs and recommend eye-wear and visual solutions accordingly. In addition, you will act as an ambassador for the Company, ensuring that every customer is welcomed into the store and their expectations are exceeded throughout the entire customer experience.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
• Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
• Communicate effectively with patients to get detailed case histories and understand their needs
• Examine eyes of patients of all ages, in accordance with the OOB guidelines
• Use specialist equipment for diagnosis and testing
• Issue prescriptions for spectacles or contact lenses (contact lens-related functions are applicable to optometrists only)
• Fit and check prescribed lenses in order to correct vision defects
• Offer advice and reassurance about vision-related matter
• Recommend appropriate frames and lenses to patients
• Write referral communications to doctors whenever required and follow up accordingly
• Meet sales and KPI targets
• Follow established guidelines with regards to operating the store
• Perform core administrative functions
• Network effectively with internal and external stakeholder
• This is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be requested to perform any other duties deemed reasonable by your line manager
Education & Experience
• Registered with Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB), with the relevant qualification
• Be able to demonstrate industry knowledge and experience of providing excellent care and service
• Previous experience in retail optical shops preferred.
