Under the leadership of the Lead Aircraft Engineer, the Certifying Engineer is a key member of the operations leadership team. They are responsible for performing or supervising work on aircraft or aircraft components and fostering open communication with all related departments.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform maintenance work on aircraft, engines, avionics, and aircraft components in accordance with company policies, OEMs' technical instructions (Maintenance Manuals, SBs, NTOs, Engineering Instructions, and Authorized Concessions), to meet relevant NAA requirements (Rules, Regulations, and ADs) and customer quality expectations.
  2. Conduct inspections, make adjustments and repairs, replace components, and correct malfunctions or deficiencies, with or without power applied to the aircraft.
  3. Access and re-install aircraft components that obstruct the performance of assigned tasks.
  4. Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
  5. Document all work performed according to quality procedure manuals.
  6. Assist with cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, and load or secure ballast and freight as required.
  7. Assist with fueling and defueling aircraft as needed.
  8. Support Aircraft Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft.
  9. Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, such as flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges.
  10. Work on aircraft as well as in component shops.
  11. Assist with complex repairs at on-site and off-site locations.
  12. Support other employees in performing their duties within areas of qualification.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License with at least 3 years of signing-off experience in Singapore; CAAS licensing is preferred, with experience in performing heavy/line aircraft maintenance.
  • College diploma or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Planning and organizational skills to coordinate workload across multiple assignments.
