What the Role Is

We are seeking a dedicated Librarian to join our Resource Centre team. This role offers the opportunity to support our library operations and contribute to ongoing organisational initiatives.

What You Will Be Working On

• Manage daily library operations including handling enquiries, overseeing loan services, cataloguing new materials, and maintaining collection records and loan tracking systems, plus stocktaking.
• Handle procurement processes for subscriptions including obtaining quotes, gathering user feedback, processing renewals, and managing related documentation.
• Curate and manage digital resources by uploading e-resources to the organisation's digital repository and maintaining email distribution lists for publications.
• Undertake research and horizon scanning activities.
• Promote library services and collections to officers, providing guidance on available resources and services.
• Supervise temporary personnel and ensure adherence to library service standards and procedures.
• Perform various administrative tasks.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in library roles, preferably in a special library environment.
• Tech‑savvy with strong digital literacy, proficiency with office applications and online platforms.
• Strong organisational skills with experience in procurement processes.
• Excellent research and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously.
