A leading company in the medical device sector seeks a detail-oriented Legal Executive. This role involves assisting with legal operations, including contract management and compliance within the APAC region. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor of Law Degree, strong communication skills, and experience in international healthcare environments.
Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Executive to assist and support the Legal Manager in managing a broad range of legal and compliance matters across the APAC region. This role will be involved in daily legal operations, including contract review, legal research, corporate secretarial and governance matters, compliance, and providing administrative support.
Responsibility
Assist in reviewing, drafting, and organizing a wide variety of commercial contract;
Maintain the contract database and tracking key contract terms and renewal deadlines;
Assist in coordinating internal stakeholders from various departments to facilitate contract reviews and execution;
Conduct legal research on local and regional laws and regulations relevant to the business
Assist in compliance programs relelvant to the healthcare industry, including interactions with healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations etc
Assist in developing compliance training sessions
Provide general legal advice to internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal and business matters, including commercial, corporate, and regulatory queries
Assist with the company’s corporate secretarial works, including preparation and filing of board resolutions, annual returns
Maintain accurate company records and liaise with external corporate secretarial providers across multiple jurisdictions
Assist in organizing and managing legal files, templates, and databases
Assist in other administrative works, and corporate and ad-hoc duties as and when required
Requirement
Bachelor of Law Degree or equivalent
At least 2 years working experience in a law firm or in-house legal department preferred
Ideally previous experience in an international healthcare company (medical device/pharma)
Proficiency and fluency in English (both oral and written).
Good to have fluency in multiple languages, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in legal contexts
Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with internal clients across functions
Autonomous, strong work ethic, team player, meticulous, paying attention to details and maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
