Legal, Ethics & Compliance Analyst

The Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality (LECQ) function supports business growth while safeguarding the company and its patients. We partner with the business to drive new ways of working, manage risks, and empower functions to better serve patients and outperform competitors.

The Position

We seek a dynamic Legal, Ethics & Compliance Analyst to join our team. Your responsibilities will include supporting operational and strategic projects in the following areas:

Ethics & Compliance

• Provide E&C risk reviews and advice, such as compliance assessments for local projects
• Plan and execute local E&C training and awareness activities
• Develop and update local compliance programs
• Contribute to the creation, update, and awareness of corporate requirements in The Ethics Navigator
• Manage activities related to data ethics & privacy, including Privacy Management Tool implementation, process mapping, awareness, and risk management
• Lead initiatives within ESG and human rights, including data collection and external reporting on CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and other ESG regulations
• Support third-party risk management projects and assessments
• Lead communication and awareness projects within Ethics & Compliance, including developing a global E&C communications strategy
• Participate in projects related to Ethics Culture & Leadership, such as developing culture metrics and updating the global E&C strategy
• Organize Ethics Week / Ethics Days at local, regional, or global levels

Legal

• Support contract management processes, including review and updating of templates and clauses
• Analyze applicable local laws and regulations for pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Support global, regional, or local legal projects
• Provide legal advice where possible
• Contribute to projects on competition law, including risk assessments and training
• Develop and implement patent strategies
• Assist with reporting processes within the Corporate Secretariat

Risk Management

• Contribute to overall risk management, including biennial risk reporting
• Drive vendor assessments and audits
• Conduct local risk assessments and monitoring

Project Management

• Support the development of digital projects and processes for the LEC function
• Implement compliance-related systems, such as grants, donations, sponsorships, and transfers of value systems
• Drive projects for automated and modernized risk monitoring
• Streamline legal and compliance processes through IT solutions
• Lead other relevant local projects

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in law, business administration, sustainability, political science, or public health, with excellent academic records
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly to change
• Team-player attitude, excellent communication skills, high motivation, and eagerness to learn
