A leading private equity firm in Singapore is looking for a Legal Counsel on a short-term contract basis. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level lawyer who will support investment teams by managing legal matters and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. Candidates should have a strong understanding of private equity and M&A transactions, making this an excellent opportunity for professional growth.
Kerry Consulting is currently working with a Singapore-headquartered private equity firm to hire a Legal Counsel on a short-term contract basis. Our client's investments are global, spanning across APAC and US markets. This is a great opportunity for a junior to mid-level legal counsel to join the team and gain exposure to multi-jurisdictional transactions.
Responsibilities
As a legal counsel, you will provide comprehensive legal advice and support to the investment teams to enhance and strengthen the overall investment process. You will have the opportunity to independently manage legal matters and work closely with the business team to provide legal advice on term sheets, definitive agreements, as well as advising on legal due diligence. You will also stay informed of regulatory requirements to ensure that portfolios operate within regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
You should be a Singapore-qualified lawyer with at least 4 years of PQE gained as an in-house legal counsel or from private practice. Candidates with experience and understanding of private equity transactions or venture capital investments will have an advantage. You should be able to independently handle joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions matters. You should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
