Job description

Our Client, in the Chemical and Clean Energy Industry, is looking for Legal Counsel!

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business departments to draft, negotiate, and review upstream lithium resource sales contracts and terms.
  • Collaborate with the import and export department to negotiate, draft, and review long-term agreements and one-time purchase and sales agreements for downstream lithium products.
  • Provide legal support for changes and modifications to upstream and downstream long-term agreements based on business requirements.
  • Review contract orders under relevant long-term agreements submitted by the import and export department, provide legal opinions on additional or modified clauses in the orders, and promptly complete OA approval.
  • Follow up and handle disputes related to resource grade and detention fees that occur during the upstream lithium resource sales process.
  • Follow up and handle disputes related to product quality, delayed payments, and transportation cost-sharing that occur during the sales process of downstream lithium products.
  • Organize standard terms for upstream and downstream sales and sales agreements and create standard templates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in law.
  • Possess a legal practitioner qualification certificate.
  • Understand legal regulations and industry practices related to cross-border purchase and sales, shipping, and warehousing.
  • 2-3 years or more of legal work experience in cross-border trade, investment, and compliance.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of cross-border investments, corporate compliance, and governance structures.
  • Strong ability in risk identification, negotiation, communication, coordination, and work under pressure.
