Job summary

A prominent HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal advice and support across various commercial issues. The role entails drafting and negotiating contracts, handling legal matters related to setting up and closing entities, and coordinating with external legal counsel. Ideal candidates should possess a Law degree with 4-7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the construction field. Willingness to travel is required.

Position title : Legal Counsel

• Location: Jurong East
• Working Days: Monday- Friday, 5 days
• Working hours : 8am to 530pm
• Salary : Open to Negotiation

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other documents; and render legal advice
• Provide legal advice and support to the group of companies on a broad range of commercial issues
• Handle the setting up of subsidiaries, associates, branches and project offices as well as the closing or liquidation of such set up
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and consultants as well as oversee the progress of their work
• Coordinate with and advise business units and departments on legal matters
• Any other duties to be assigned from time to time

Prerequisites:

• Degree in Law
• 4 to 7 years’ post-qualification experience, with knowledge of construction law and/or with experience in the construction industry
• Willing to travel when required
